Treasure of Sveshtari

Treasure of Sveshtari was found in a ancient Thracian tomb in the village of Sveshtari, located in northeastern Bulgaria and it is a remarkable discovery that provides an invaluable glimpse into the Thracian culture that thrived in the region thousands of years ago. This treasure reflects their unique culture and consists of a variety of artifacts that have shed light on Thracian rituals and beliefs.

Among the astonishing items of the unique treasure of Sveshtari are the intricately crafted female jewelry set: a diadem with sculpted fantastic creatures with lion's bodies and female heads and torsos, leading a procession of lions and panthers; four spiral bracelets; and a gold ring depicting Eros in relief.
